This dress was love at first sight. I'll be the first to say that I'm most comfortable in an easy-to-wear black swing dress, but throw amazingly colorful jungle prints on the front and I am alllll over it for summer! This gem has palm leaves, tigers, zebras, snakes, birds and pretty tropical flowers all wrapped up in one!

I know a lot of people wonder how bloggers get to work with brands sometimes. And a lot of the time, it's really as simple and sweet as expressing your love for something in a genuine fashion - I posted this dress in a weekend wear collage post a month or so ago, because I really loved it. Then the sweet folks at Gentle Fawn saw my post & got in touch with me and offered to send me the dress I had been swooning over, which was so incredibly amazing and kind of them. Anyway, I just know I get a lot of questions about how I end up working with brands and my advice would simply be to just post about things you love in a very genuine way. Not every brand you post about is going to contact you, and you certainly can't do it with that idea in mind, but every once in a while showing your love for something ends up coming back to you!

That all said, I'm a very happy girl in my new jungle print dress and I can't wait to wear this all summer long.

Speaking of summer, HOLY has it ever arrived! It's been over 40 degrees with the humidex the last few days (over 100 degrees F!) which is both amazing and gross. I mostly love it. My fuzzy hair does not, but that's what messy top knots are for, yes?

Happy Thursday, friends! Almost weekend time again!

  3. Great advice! Brands want to work with someone that they know loves what they offer. Your dress is so pretty! I'm obsessed with this style of dresses!

  4. Hi Kate. I love this gorgeous dress on you. It definitely does seem so comfortable to wear. I've never heard of that company so I am going to go and check them out now. Also, thanks for the advice/tips on working with brands. I love how genuine and honest you are on your blog! Also loving the top bun. It's been so humid in Ontario as well, but now that my hair is cut short I can't do a bun anymore. Miss it! LOL.
