If you follow me on twitter and/or instagram, you already know that this weekend I rang in the big 3-0! While turning 30 is slightly mindblowing, I had an AMAZING birthday weekend! Sunday (April 1st - yep, you're talking to an April Fools baby!) was the official day, but most of the celebrating happened on Saturday.
My day began with my father, grandmother, sister and boyfriend taking me to Envy, a local clothing store, as my Dad wanted me to pick out something for my birthday. It was a hilarious and incredibly sweet adventure, shopping with such an entourage in tow (with my Dad learning tough life lessons about things like 'premium denim'). From there we went to lunch, then I went back home to get ready for the evening portion of birthday fun! I changed into the above outfit & went out for an incredible dinner with the fella, where I dined on truffled mushroom risotto with grilled asparagus with a glass of pinot! Then back home to await the arrival of my two best pals, who decorated my house with adorable handmade garland, a photo collage, a candy bar and a huuuuge punch bowl full of mojito! Amazing! Then the rest of the crew arrived & we drank & chatted & then broke out into a major dance party to a playlist from my 25th birthday party that miss Kristin found on her computer! Such a fun night! Then I woke up to the arrival of my momma, who sweetly cleaned my kitchen full of post-party mess. I seriously have the most amazing friends & family, I feel so grateful and blessed!

i didn't realize tights could be worn on their own. i always figured they went UNDER something, a long, long sweater, a skirt, a dress. but they look really nice when used as pants. i'm not sure my legs could pull it off, but it's worth a try :)
