Checks & Stripes

This is my first real attempt at mixing prints, though I feel it's a bit of a cop-out - discovered simply because I was away from home and was cold, and this is the only sweater I had with me. That said, I quite like it.

Hope you all had fantastic weekends. Mine was quiet and lovely - full of things like sleep-ins, smoothies, groceries, and pizza with my Grammie for her 96th birthday. I love that she can still easily head out for pizza at  96. She's looking forward to her letter from the Prime Minister for her 100th. ;)

  1. You did a fabulous job mixing your print patterns! I love that sweater! It would be so cute with a pair of cut offs on a chills summer night :)

  2. I agree with Lynzy. The mixed patterns really work. I'm way too scared to mix patterns, but I think if it's in the same color scheme (like you did here), then it might be easier.

  8. What a great sweater. The patterns mix so well together and I love how you added different pops of red with your rings, nails, and lips! Happy belated birthday to your grammie! My grandmother will be 90 in May and I swear she's becoming more feisty each day!

  19. I'm so glad you only had this sweater at home, because the mixing is phenomenal! This is easily one of my favourite looks from you (and actually looks so inspired by the Joe Fresh ad campaigns if you've seen them, with the patterned shirts under the nautical tops)! The addition of the necklace and pops of colour in your nails, lips and ring are just the icing on top of the lovely cake.

Oh, and the story about your Grammie is sooo cute. She sounds vivacious and full of life, like how many of us will hope to be even at 70. Here's to many more birthdays to her!

    Have a great week Kate!
